Podaca besteht aus drei Dorfteilen: Kapec, Viskovica vala und Ravanje mit insgesamt 660 Einwohner. Die Bev\u00f6lkerung ist vorerst zu Tourismus orientiert, aber sie besch\u00e4ftigen sich auch mit Landwirtschaft und Olivenzucht. Komfortablen H\u00e4user, Villas und Apartments, einige gastwirtschaftlichen Objekte sind die Grundlage f\u00fcr touristische Entwicklung von Podaca. Die Altsiedlung von Podaca unterhalb Steilh\u00e4ngen von Biokovo <a href=\"http:\/\/www.makarskainfo.com\/de\/makarska\/biokovo-gebirge.htm\">\u00a0<\/a> ist fast g\u00e4nzlich verlassen. Zum ersten Mal wird der Ort in 1477. erw\u00e4hnt. Auf dem Berg in der Altsiedlung am Bergfu\u00df wurde der Turm zur Verteidigung vor osmanischen Turken errichtet, und in der N\u00e4he befindet sich die Kirche von St. Johannes auf dem Friedhof, die von den Adeligen Kacici errichtet worden ist. An der Kirche von St. Juraj in Tu\u010depi\u00a0 und an der Kirche von St. Mihovil in Igrane\u00a0befindet sich ein der bedeutendsten Denkm\u00e4ler der Architektur aus dem fr\u00fchen Mittelalter aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. An dem Kircheeingang befindet sich das Grabdenkmal mit den Namen von Kacici, und in der N\u00e4he befindet sich das mittelaltrige Steindenkmal stecak-sljemenjak. Kirche von St. Stjepan aus dem Jahr 1492 wurde in dem 18. Jahrhundert zerst\u00f6rt. Auf derselben Stelle wurde in 1772 heutige Kirche ausgebaut. Nach dem Erdbeben in 1962 wurde am Meer die Kirche von\u00a0Madonna von der Verk\u00fcndigung\u00a0ausgebaut.<\/div>\n<p><a
